NOTE: To determine the destination of the Charge Detail Record (CDR) an OCPP Authorize request is required for each session. Therefore it is best to disable the authorization cache function in the charger. Please reach out to us if you experience any issues on this matter.

Follow these steps to connect a charger to the Longship platform:

Configure the charger with your own unique backoffice connection. This endpoint can be found in the Tenant configuration page or in the Add charger page.

Note: Not all users have access to the tenant configuration. If you do not have access to the Tenant configuration you can also find the backoffice connection endpoint in the Add charger page.

  1. We provide the possibility to connect with WS or WSS. In order to connect with WSS the public certificates of the root DNS provider need to be present in the firmware of the charger.
  2. When the charger is connected to the Longship backoffice the charger will be automatically shown in the Chargers overview page.
  3. You can find more information about the charger and its connectivity on the Charger detail page.
  4. The charger ID at the end of the connection string determines under which name the charger is created. The name of the charger can be changed for visualisation purposes if you so desire.
