NOTE: To correctly record the destination of the Charge Detail Record (CDR), an OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) Authorize request is required for each charging session. Therefore, it is recommended to disable the authorization cache function in the charger. If you encounter any issues related to this, please feel free to reach out to us for assistance.

Follow these steps to connect a charger to the EVesto platform:

Configure the charger with your own unique backoffice connection. This endpoint can be found in the Tenant configuration page or in the Add charger page.

Note: Not all users have access to the tenant configuration. If you do not have access to the Tenant configuration you can also find the backoffice connection endpoint in the Add charger page.

  1. We provide the option to connect using either WS (WebSockets) or WSS (Secure WebSockets). To establish a WSS connection, the public certificates of the root DNS provider need to be present in the charger's firmware.
  2. Once the charger is successfully connected to the EVesto backoffice, it will automatically appear on the 'Chargers' overview page.

  3. You can find more information about the charger and its connectivity on the Charger detail page.
  4. Please note that the charger ID at the end of the connection string determines the name under which the charger is created. You have the option to change the charger's name for visualization purposes if desired.
